As Swat Valley passes from its worst history.  The insurgency since last two years have destroyed and ruined the whole valley in each and every section. The situation is uncertain and insecure. The economic condition of its poor masses has gone to a lowest level. The upper class of society has already left the area and migrated to other safer places. The middle and lower classes of society are facing the unexpected worst situation in the valley. Now it is not a Swat which once called a paradise on earth.
When Khpal Kor Foundation established for the uplift and betterment of poor and destitute orphan children in the region in 1996.  The administration focused on it sustainability and self sufficiency. In this regard permanent income sources were set up such as school, computer center and Khpal Kor Tent Service. Which were providing sufficient income and the expenses of orphans were mainly depended on these sources. Khpal Kor Tent Serve since its establishment has provided an average 8 Lac rupees profit per year. This has covered the expenses of 50 to 60 orphans annually. Now the situation has changed and this business has badly suffered due to the situation in the city its income has reduced month by month and at last during the last months it hasn’t given any profit but lose. The business in now in deficit.  This is a severe blow for Khpal Kor Foundation because the source of income of 50 to 60 orphan’s expenses has ended. This has affected the foundation financially to a greater extend.
